Reference images were generated for this demonstration; no real person or customer photo was used.

Generation prompt
Recreate the person in the reference image as a still from a modern Korean office-romance series. Preserve their exact facial features and identity. Styling: soft-shouldered beige blazer over a cream knit top, thin gold necklace, hair in a low ponytail with one loose strand, natural makeup with a satin finish. Scene: a glass office elevator lobby after hours, city lights blurred behind the glass, one colleague out of focus at the right edge holding two coffee cups, the subject turned three quarters toward the camera with a guarded half-smile. Camera: 85mm at chest height, vertical framing, subject on the lower third with the lit corridor above, shallow depth of field, gentle anamorphic squeeze on the background bokeh. Light: cool white office panels from above, warm elevator glow from the left side, no fill on the near cheek so the shadows stay deep. Grade: calm teal shadows with warm skin, gentle halation around the highlights, soft contrast, fine grain. No text, no logos, no HDR.

What it is used for

  • Following the K-drama trend on social media, where complete prompt sets are published in Korean and Indonesian sources.
  • Turning a group photo into a drama-style poster or a set of storyboard frames.
  • Idol-style portraits with comeback stage styling or album concept images.
  • Content covers and illustrations for short dramas, novels and fan works.

Campus Uniform Still

The most recognisable K-drama variant, with a school uniform and a corridor or classroom.

5 credits

Nano Banana 2image → image16:9 · 2K

Reference photos: One front-facing or three-quarter portrait; the age in the original does not matter, because the uniform variant makes the subject younger, so switch to the office-romance variant to keep a mature look.

Turn the person in the reference image into a still from a Korean campus drama. Keep their exact facial identity, eye shape and face proportions; wardrobe, light and grading come from the series look. Styling: tidy navy school blazer over a white shirt with a loosely tied ribbon, hair with a soft side part and two face-framing strands, no heavy makeup and a glossy lip balm finish. Action: standing in a school corridor with one shoulder against the wall, holding a notebook against the chest, eyes lifted slightly past the camera as if someone just called their name. Cinematography: 85mm lens wide open, anamorphic framing with the subject on the left third and headroom, a blurred student walking in the foreground, shallow depth of field, the far corridor dissolving into soft bokeh points. Light: cool daylight from the window wall on the right, a warm practical light from a classroom door on the left, no fill on the near side of the face. Grade: streaming-series look with a soft roll-off, desaturated greens, cyan tint in the shadows while skin stays warm. Fine grain, no HDR, no filter preset, no on-screen text.
Negative prompt
flat lighting, HDR, oversaturated colour, sharp digital clarity, heavy makeup, text or subtitles, logos, extra people in focus

Reference only — the image models available here do not take a separate negative prompt, so this list is guidance for editing the prompt above.

Why this works: The most standard K-drama variant. If the subject looks too mature, add only 'the styling reads as a university student rather than a child' and leave the facial description unchanged.

Office Romance Confession

For adult storylines with commuter styling, a subway or an office building.

10 credits

GPT Image 2.5 Flareimage → image2:3 · 2K

Reference photos: One half-body portrait; this is the adult variant, and an original photo in a shirt or formal wear works best.

Negative prompt
flat office lighting, grey plastic skin, HDR, oversaturation, text, signage, logos, distorted hands

Reference only — the image models available here do not take a separate negative prompt, so this list is guidance for editing the prompt above.

Why this works: The adult variant. The urban drama feel depends on city lights in the background and tungsten reflections in the elevator, so do not replace the background with a plain coloured wall.

Idol Comeback Teaser

For studio shoots with heavy styling and an album teaser feel.

5 credits

Nano Banana 2image → image4:5 · 2K

Reference photos: One portrait; an original with tension in the gaze or a clear expression works best, because the idol variant suffers most from a blank ID-photo face.

Restyle the person in the reference image as a comeback teaser photograph for a Korean idol group. Keep their exact facial features and identity. Styling: structured black leather jacket with silver hardware, silver chain, dark smoky eye makeup with a soft inner corner highlight, hair styled in a wet-look pushed back cut, one earring catching the flash. Pose: chin down, eyes up into the lens, shoulders squared, one hand adjusting the jacket collar. Set: a cyclorama studio painted deep charcoal, a single red gel strip light hidden behind the shoulder, haze in the air so the beam becomes visible. Camera: 50mm at eye level, medium shot, centred with tight headroom, sharp focus on the eyes and softer falloff on the shoulders. Light: hard key from upper right, cool blue rim from upper left, flash specular on the silver chain, no soft fill. Grade: high contrast, crushed blacks, magenta-cyan split in the highlights, fine grain, poster-grade finish. No text, no logos, no watermark.
Negative prompt
soft flat beauty light, pastel colour, HDR glow, plastic skin, cluttered background, text, logos, watermark

Reference only — the image models available here do not take a separate negative prompt, so this list is guidance for editing the prompt above.

Why this works: The comeback concept variant. The silver hardware carries the highlights, and removing it makes the image collapse; if it fails, add the chain and the rim light back first.

Rain Scene Close Up

For a rainy night, a side profile and an emotional close-up; the most shared variant.

4 credits

Seedream 5 Liteimage → image21:9 · 2K

Seedream 5 Lite does not offer 21:9 1K — this runs at 21:9 2K.

Reference photos: One side profile or three-quarter profile; a straight-on portrait also works, but the head will be turned slightly.

Recreate the person in the reference image as an emotional close-up from a Korean drama: rain at night, the subject half turned away with wet hair stuck to the temple, eyes lowered. Preserve the exact facial identity and eye shape. Styling: thin long coat with the collar up, no umbrella, a single water droplet on the jaw catching the light. Scene: a narrow alley at night, a broken neon sign reflected in a puddle behind the shoulder, a blurry figure with an umbrella walking away in the deep background. Camera: 100mm at chest height, extreme close-up cropped above the eyebrows, ultra-shallow depth of field, subject on the right third with empty dark space to the left. Light: cold blue neon from the right, a faint sodium-orange glow from the left, rain streaks visible only where they cross the light, no fill on the shadow side. Grade: cyan shadows with a warm highlight edge on the skin, soft contrast, gentle halation, fine grain. Cinematic 21:9 framing with no on-screen text and no logos.
Negative prompt
bright exposure, flat light, dry hair, HDR, oversaturated neon, text, logos, extra characters in focus

Reference only — the image models available here do not take a separate negative prompt, so this list is guidance for editing the prompt above.

Why this works: The emotional variant and the one that suits a 21:9 wide frame best. The water droplet and the wet hair are the point, so do not remove them to change the composition.

Text-Only Drama Still Sample

The text-only sample variant and the cheapest option.

4 credits

Seedream 5 Litetext → image16:9 · 2K

Seedream 5 Lite does not offer 16:9 1K — this runs at 16:9 2K.

A still from a Korean campus drama with a generic young adult as the lead: tidy navy school blazer over a white shirt with a loosely tied ribbon, hair with a soft side part and two face-framing strands, no heavy makeup and a glossy lip balm finish. Grade: streaming-series look with a soft roll-off, desaturated greens, cyan tint in the shadows while skin stays warm, fine grain, no text and no subtitles anywhere in the frame.

Why this works: It is the fallback for pages without material; the three depth layers and the warm-cool split lighting are what create the K-drama feel, so do not delete them.

Use this prompt

If the result is wrong, change this first

It looks like an ordinary influencer photo and has no drama feel.

Describe camera language instead of adjectives: 'shot at 85mm with an anamorphic flare', 'subject on the left third with headroom', 'shallow depth of field', 'the other character out of focus in the foreground'.

The lighting is too flat.

Split the light warm against cool with 'cool daylight from the window on one side, warm practical lamp from the other', and state 'no fill on the near side'.

The grade pushes skin tones green and grey.

Add 'keep skin tones natural and slightly warm, the grade leans cyan only in the shadows'.

Korean subtitles or signage break down into gibberish.

Remove all text inside the frame, or keep one instance only and specify 'a single small blurred sign in the background, text unreadable'.

Notes

  • The K-drama feel comes from the camera plus three depth layers: a blurred figure in the foreground, a sharp lead in the middle and softened background light points. Writing those three sentences gets you halfway.
  • 16:9 is the default frame for a drama still. For vertical social posts switch to 2:3 or 4:5, and change the composition sentence to 'subject on the lower third' at the same time.
