Why it works
Leading with the camera lets the model treat this as one continuous move — glide, rise, retreat — instead of a cut it would have to invent. A single named wave event gives the sea exactly one thing to do, which is what keeps aerial water from turning to mush, and fixing the light as a low left-hand rake stops the model defaulting to flat overhead sun.
