The prompt
A wristband wakes on a bare forearm and a panel of light unfolds above it in loose stacked layers. Why it works
A hologram floating in a void tells the viewer nothing, so the prompt ties the light to objects it can actually fall on, a mug and a stack of paper, and gives the projection a failure mode, the scanline tear, which is what makes it read as a device. A lateral arc is chosen over a push because parallax between the layers is the only cue that the interface has depth. One desk lamp keeps ambient light low enough that the projection is the brightest thing in frame.
